Andrea Pesenti appointed head chef at BungaTINI, Covent Garden

Andrea Pesenti has been appointed head chef at BungaTINI, the bar and pizzeria on Drury Lane, London, above the new Bunga Bunga bar.

Formerly head chef at Italian restaurant Mele e Pere, Soho, Pesenti will lead a kitchen team of 12 at the pizzeria, which opened last month.
Pesenti has created a new Wood Fired Brunch menu, marring British and Italian cuisines, which features dishes such as an English breakfast pizza with tomato, mozzarella, sausage, pancetta and egg.
BungaTINI, operated by Inception Group, is a family friendly spin-off of the Bunga Bunga bars in Covent Garden and Battersea.
Pesenti will also be overseeing the food at Bunga Bunga, Covent Garden, where diners can enjoy a six course feasting menu which includes fennel sausage arancini, burrata and pappa pommodoro, and mushroom and truffle risotto.
