Rudie’s, a Jamaican inspired restaurant situated in Dalston, Hackney, is expanding its operations in the London borough with the launch of a second site in nearby Shoreditch.

The opening in Units 44 & 45 at Shoreditch’s Boxpark pop up mall is scheduled for January 2018 and will mark the standalone restaurant’s first attempt at expansion.

Rudie’s will bring its ‘signature’ real jerk chicken, curry goat and boss burger along to the trendy east London district along with a new ‘boxfood’ offering consisting of a selection of Jamaican lunch options.

The new menu is set to include the Jerk-It-Up box (signature real jerk chicken with sweet potato, rice’n’peas or chow chow slaw), Hellshire Beach (king prawns sautéed in pepper sauce, served with avocado salsa and fried bammy) and vegan box, Ital Vital (plantain with Appleton rum sauce, sweet potatoes and chow chow slaw).

Drinks on offer will include soft and alcoholic options including a number of bottled Jamaican classic punches such as Rum Punch, Guinness Punch, Peanut Punch and Tropical Fruit Punch.

Rudie’s menu is overseen by head chef Vernon Samuels whose experience includes roles with restaurants Quaglinos, Bibo and The Salt House.

The new site will have counter dining with space for 30 diners and will be open for lunch and dinner while also offering home and office deliveries.
