Creams Cafe chain plans to reach 100 sites this year

Dessert parlour business Creams will unveil its 50th location this July and is set to open a further 50 cafes in 2017 - doubling the number of existing stores - with premises planned in Gateshead, Bournemouth, Bristol and Liverpool.

The chain has opened one new store every month since December 2016.

The concept puts its success down to an active online presence – engaging with its 122,000 Facebook and 11.7k Instagram fans – as well as Zoomex’s (wholesale cafe suppliers and catering solutions company) strict regulation of franchises and product quality control.

Creams has also commended its management strategy, environment and design – opening from 11am-11pm and by banning alcohol, appealing to both friends and families – for its title as the UK’s largest dessert-only restaurant.

As part of Creams’ expansion plan, the cafe is set to launch a new menu nationwide, which will feature alongside existing offerings such as UK-made ice cream, drinks, waffles and crepes.

Shane Boyd of Windsor Creams said: “We were very satisfied with the [Creams Café] business. We’ve been open two years and we’ve hit our targets that we set ourselves for the franchise year on year and we’re increasing our turn over year on year.”
