Independently owned The Draft House has completed its first company acquisition, adding a total of six central London pubs to its existing estate.

The group, which was founded by Charlie McVeigh and is chaired by Luke Johnson, has secured a London flagship pub opposite Camden Road station as part of its acquisition of Grand Union Group.

Charlie McVeigh, owner and founder of Draft House, said: “This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to acquire a key site in Camden Town and five other beautiful pubs in prime Central London locations. The deal allows us to take further steps in our mission to bring good food, great beer and real people to pubs across London and the UK.”

The pubs will undergo refurbishment and are expected to all re-open by November, with the first in Kennington opening on July 31st.
