Contemporary Indian restaurant, Namaaste Kitchen, scored two major honours at the 2014 Asian Curry Awards.

The restaurant won Best South Asian Restaurant and head chef, Sabbir Karim, won Best Chef of the Year at the 2014 Asian Curry Awards.

Karim said: “I feel extremely honoured to have been awarded the title of Best Chef of the Year and so pleased that Namaaste Kitchen’s fine cuisine and hospitality has once again won the Best South Asian Restaurant in London.”

The Asian Curry Awards, organised by the Federation of Bangladeshi Caterers (FoBC), recognises the successes made by business owners across the restaurant industry. Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, was in attendance at this year’s awards ceremony.

Namaaste Kitchen is a theatrical restaurant with an open kitchen where diners can watch their meals being prepared. The menu spans the whole of India from quick street-food dishes to a range of modern and traditional curries, biryanis and a delicious range of gluten-free, vegan and halal options.

The menu is sourced by Karim, who also won ‘Asian and Oriental Innovative Chef of the Year at last year’s awards, by travelling across the length and breadth of India for inspiration.
