Pub operator Mitchells & Butlers and soft drinks manufacturer Britvic have partnered to launch a set of virtual reality Easter themed games.

When guests buy a J2O during April they will be given a bunny-ears straw with a QR code, which can be used to access the game. The games are available on the Harvester and Toby Carvery apps or the Sizzling Pubs website and challenge customers to find and smash eggs for rewards.

Chris Hopkins, commercial and marketing director, Mitchells & Butlers, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Britvic on this project. These innovative and topical games will be a lot of fun to the growing army of guests who use digital channels as part of their overall eating out experience.”

The games are M&B’s first steps into VR technology and it is hoped that through this partnership the two companies can convert consumer engagement with games into engagement with their brands.
