Following a £60 million investment in 2012, Pizza Hut has announced that it will be opening a new restaurant in Leeds – the first in over six years.

Acquired by investors Rutland Partners in 2012, Pizza Hut has since undergone a significant refurbishment strategy, including new American inspired designs, a cocktail bar and new dining innovations - featuring American-style waffles and sweet chilli chicken pizza.

The new restaurant will create 50 jobs and is set to open within the 65,000sq ft. extension of Leeds’ White Rose Shopping Centre, which will also welcome an 11-screen Cineworld IMAX cinema.

Pizza Hut UK’s operations director, Mike Spencer said: “We’re delighted to have snapped up a space in the [White Rose] extension which we believe is a fitting venue for our first new Hut in over six years.

“Today’s opening marks a significant landmark in our business strategy which has, for the past five years, focused on the restructure of our existing portfolio of restaurants across the UK.”
