PUB18 welcomed ‘record-breaking’ number of visitors

Last week’s PUB18 trade show (6-7 February) generated a “record-breaking” number of visitors, having welcomed over 4,000 people across the two days.

With more than a third there “to discover more about the latest trends,” this year’s “double-digit percentage” increase was no doubt helped by the panellist line-up comprising industry experts, chef Tom Kerridge and pub personality, Neil Morrissey.

There were also 200+ exhibitors, and talks and workshops addressing topics of interest to the UK pub industry and “insight into everything from day-to-day operations to wider talking points.”

Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers (ALMR) chief executive, Kate Nicholls said: “PUB18 is the most vibrant show I've been to in the past year and every year it gets bigger and better. As the trade association for pubs, we’re always delighted to be involved with a show that caters to publicans and pub operators of all sizes, and are already looking forward to coming back again next year.”

Alex Booth, PUB18 commercial manager, added: “We are extremely happy with this year’s results and it’s great to see that the show has established itself as a key date for the UK pub industry.

“It’s vital that shows like PUB18 exist to act as a knowledge hub for publicans and we’re proud to see that our audience gained such value from all the content within the show. We’ve already started planning for next year’s show, so keep your eyes peeled.”

PUB19 will return to London’s Olympia on 5 and 6 February 2019, and is set to build on this year’s “diverse mix of publicans, operators and suppliers.”
