Tony Pilley, operations director for Mercury North, said: “Our publicans put a lot of effort and hard work into their pub, their business and what some of them call their home.
“We have some fantastic pubs with great standards; something both Punch and our Publicans should be incredibly proud of.”
The awards recognise publicans in three categories, the overall winners, publican of the year and special recognition. The overall winners were Jayne and Christina Blackshaw from The Cotton Tree, Bollington.
Special recognition was awarded to seven publicans including Jamie Brown of Bulls Head, Milnthorpe and Jimmy Fenlon of Castle, Liverpool.
The awards follow on from East Midlands and South Yorkshire Publican of the Year awards, held in February.
Punch owns more over 3,250 leased and tenanted pubs in the UK.
