Roadside diner The Real Food Café, in Tyndrum, Scotland, popular with hikers, mountaineers, dog walkers and runners, has opened a new grab and go kiosk.

Sarah Heward, The Real Food Café’s owner, said: “As we come into the busiest time of the year we want to be able to offer our customers the very best experience. Many of our visitors just want to grab something quickly and carry on with their trip or get a bite to eat to enjoy in the great outdoors that surrounds the café.

“We are always trying to make the customer journey as quick, easy and enjoyable as possible and with more and more people eating on the move, it made sense to open a kiosk to make this possible.”

The kiosk’s menu features hot savoury pastries, sausage and black pudding rolls, cold filled baguettes and soup.

Last year the café catered for more than 200,000 visitors and won the Best Independent Fish and Chip Outlet at the Fish and Chip Awards in 2013 and 2014.
