Tom Peake, Mark Reynolds and Nick Fox of Three Cheers Pub Co. have announced that their ninth opening will be in a Victorian pub once owned by Virgin boss Richard Branson.

The London pub group says the nineteenth century Princess Victoria Pub in Shepherd’s Bush, which can also count Richard Fulford-Smith and James McLean as former owners, will open in October.

The pub is the second acquisitions for Six Cheers Ltd, the group’s ‘managed expert’ partnership with Ei Managed Investment.

A new front terrace will be introduced in addition to the existing courtyard garden. The site will now accommodate 150 covers downstairs, a first floor function room seating 70, plus 95 covers outside.

Its menu will concentrate on British produce with a focus on scotch eggs, puff pastry pies, artisan pizzas and flatbreads.

Peake, who set up Three Cheers Pub Co. with childhood friends Reynolds and Cox in 2003, says that the pub’s drinks menu will reflect the building's history as an original gin palace by offering of over 100 gins and 40 beers.

“We are absolutely delighted to confirm we are taking on The Princess Victoria," said Peake. "It is such a well-loved pub with a rich history and we can’t wait to breathe new life into it."
