Winchester-based and founded, Pizza Pi is expanding into the capital this month – opening its second pizzeria on Battersea Rise, south west London.

Founded in 2014 by first-time restaurateur Rosie Whaley, the new 85-cover site will build on Whaley’s ethos of “serving simple, exceptional and honest food in a vibrant atmosphere.”

Offering a vast selection of pizzas, salads and small plates, the restaurant also boasts a “supplier-led approach” - working with a hand-picked selection of producers across the UK (Isle of Wight) and Italy, from whom it sources ingredients including tomatoes, Hampshire pork sausage, piquillo peppers and nocellara olives.

Whaley said: “It’s been three whirlwind years since we brought Pi to Winchester and I’m so excited to be opening a second site. Londoners have an insatiable passion for pizza and I hope we can bring a slice of something special to the table.”
